Code of Conduct

At Bromley Lacrosse Club, we are committed to supporting the development of our members — both in their lacrosse skills and as individuals. Our goal is to provide a friendly, safe, and enjoyable environment where everyone can learn, grow, and have fun.

If you ever have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact our Welfare Officer: Kim Barrett – kimbarrett1605@gmail.com

This code outlines what we expect from our junior players to support a positive club experience, and what they can expect from Bromley Lacrosse Club. We also expect families to respect and follow this code.

I will always:

  1. Treat others with respect, as I would like to be treated — teammates, opponents, coaches, referees, and everyone I meet through lacrosse.
  2. Respect the spirit of fair play. Always play fairly and do my best.
  3. Look out for my own welfare and that of others.
  4. Be organised and punctual for training and matches.
  5. Wear the appropriate club kit as outlined.
  6. Accept success and failure, victory and defeat, with dignity.
  7. Respect team members and opponents, even when things don’t go my way.
  8. Behave in a way that reflects positively on myself and Bromley Lacrosse Club.

I will never:

  1. Bully or deliberately harm anyone physically, mentally, or damage their property.
  2. Use inappropriate language or gestures.
  3. Use violence.
  4. Shout at or argue with officials, teammates, or opponents.
  5. Discriminate against anyone based on gender, disability, social class, religion, or nationality.
  6. Post offensive or upsetting comments about club members or opponents on social media, email, SMS, or other platforms that could bring the club into disrepute.

I can expect to:

  1. Be safe and feel safe at all times.
  2. Be listened to
  3. Have fun and enjoy playing lacrosse.
  4. Be treated fairly, with dignity, sensitivity, and respect.
  5. Compete at a level I feel comfortable with.
